Capitol City Rifle and Pistol Club Rocky Hill Connecticut

Capitol City Rifle and Pistol Club, Rocky Hill Connecticut.

The Capitol City Rifle and Pistol Club provides marksmanship instruction and .22 caliber competitions.  Each year, Club members teach one or more courses that meet the requirements for participants to apply for a pistol permit.  The Club also promotes gun safety by providing instruction to Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

The clubhouse/range is open to members 24/7.  Generally, practice nights are on Tuesdays at 7:00 P.M.

The Club is affiliated with the Civilian Marksmanship Program,  and the National Rifle Association  and the Connecticut State Rifle and Revolver Association .

Membership information is available by viewing the "Membership Information" page.  Prospective members should attend a practice night to see the club and have an orientation, and must have a Connecticut Pistol Permit.

From time to time, the Club offers a course that satisfies the requirements to obtain a Connecticut Pistol Permit.  Once candidates have taken the class, they must apply for their permit through the State.  More detail on the permit process is provided in the class.  Contact the webmaster to learn when the next class will be held.

The Club also opens its' facilities to Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops/members who are seeking to earn their Marksmanship Merit Badge.  Email the webmaster if you are interested in assisting, or know of scouts who want to earn this merit badge.
